Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula)

This male, presumably the same one has been present since November. I'm not sure for how much longer though as yesterday he was all alone. The two females he's been displaying to seem to have moved on.
Location
Cowpen Bewley Woodland Park, Billingham, Cleveland
Date taken
24th January 2009
Scientific name
Bucephala clangula
Equipment used
Canon 40D+Canon 400mm f5,6
A fantastic action shot Ian. The only Goldeneyes I have seen this year have been little dots in the distance. Nice one.

Ian, one of the most interesting and nice photos I have seen of the Goldeneye. Great job.
