WE have these birds in Australia, they were introduced in 1860's. I have never been this close so thanks for sharing. Great shot.
 
great close-up carole of this gorgeous little beauty.very messy indeed but well worth the cleaning up if the ground feeders dont get it first.tfs.all the best margaret.

He sure is, though perhaps not quite as bad as Bullfinches. But then, imagine what messy eaters we would be without hands with opposable thumbs ;)
