Goldfinch

'On the cliff face here overlooking the sea. Spending their time with the linnets, they seem to like one another's company. Goldfinches eating anything closely resembling food and linnets diving in and out of the stream leading into the sea and preening themselves. Joined now and again by the odd meadow pipit who largely kept themselves to themselves.

One of our prettiest birds I reckon Paul.

That's a terrific picture you've taken of this Goldfinch lad - well done my friend.

Aye, and a flexible bird I think, Delia. 'Can't think of many other birds I see in flocks in varying habitat. Goldfinches seem to thrive anywhere.
