Goosander Chaos!
Goosanders from last year at Hogganfield Loch. They've become very bold, and, sawbills or not, compete with the large population of birds for the bread donated from families who come in huge numbers to "feed the ducks". They come in very close to the edge, to the point where I've got blurry pix because they're too close for the lens!

And they're not above mixing it with the locals! Check out the tufty bottom right seeing off the male goosander...!

And the female's giving that male a right telling off! The Mute's looking on as if to say, "kids....they never listen...".

Great bit of action going on Ian, great little loch too, best place to get Whoopers, Goosanders that I know, well captured, tfs.
