Goosander (Mergus merganser)

We're away in Scotland at present. Just arrived today. On the way we always stop off at Dumfries for a look around the town and to see what's on the river. Today there were 15 Goosander by the weir plus a Heron, Mallard and several leaping sea trout and salmon.

Brilliant capture Ian, enjoy your stay in Scotland, the White-tailed Eagles were brilliant last week when we were on the Isle of Mull.

Brilliant closeup of this gorgeous Goosander. Beautiful eye and feather detail with excellent focus, color, lighting, and setting. Exceptional Ian!!!
