Great Bowerbird

Great Bowerbird (Chlamydera nuchalis)

Fascinating birds, these Bowerbirds. I felt a little bit like David Attenborough when I was on this site.
The way the male birds try to attract the females is so nice to see. I spent hours looking and making pictures.
This is "la moment suspreme", the reward for the male after building the bower, collecting treasures (peaces of glass, fancy stones, lits etc.) and making all the noises to get the female in the bower.

A magical time for me, seeing this excellent photo of an event I've never witnessed or seen a photo of before. It's a brilliant shot!

Taken by a visitor to the country too - ah well, I'm not jealous. :'D
