Great crested grebe with a perch (Podiceps cristatus)

Great crested grebe with a perch - A nice day yesterday the sun was out and so was I. The reeds where I went were very high and thick so all three images posted today were manually focused through the reeds.
Habitat
Lowland lakes, gravel pits, reservoirs and rivers. Also found along coasts in winter.

Wow!!! That's some fish he's caught himself, isn't it Keith. I hope he remembers to limit himself to tiddlers when he's got young 'uns to feed LOL.

A super image this and so well timed too.
 
What a great sighting this must have been. Looks like someone will eat well. This is a beauty Keith.
