Great Egret (ardea alba)

on the Nishiki River this morning...wonderful, big, graceful bird, but would not let me get any closer...the morning sun made this quite a challenge...this was shot with the EF 400 F5.6 + EF 1.4II TC...

Nice and clever composition. I shall learn from this when I can't get close enough to the bird. This is better than a heavily cropped image which magnifies the softness. Very clever!
