Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus)

This is the second owl's nest visible at Lake Erie Metropark. The nest is pretty high up in the tree, so it's hard to see the owl, if you are too close. This shot was taken from the entrance road about halfway from West Jefferson Ave. to the toll booth.
