Great Knot (Calidris tenuirostris)

The shorebirds on the beach in Cairns, North Queensland, Aus. were in flocks with so many birds that it was hard to pick them out and id them. This Great Knot was among several hundred others mixed in with many other species.
The shoreline next to the Esplanade walkway was turned in to a mud-flat at each low tide.
I still have a lot of work to do to id a lot of what I saw... lol
