Just to prove i do venture farther than Cannock Chase, at times :) The weather was pretty dismal on this day (can see the rain above the Skua) if at home, i would have stayed in...but when on holiday, you make the most of your time! First time i'd seen one of these birds, so thats a 'lifer' then :)
Ian- Yes was going to mention the 'white bits', just to say they were cotton grass & not bits of discarded tissue, that i'd used to wipe the rain from my camera
Marmot- Would be a bit far to walk from here, would need some new soles on my boots!!! Have walked so much in a long time, than i have in the last two weeks, almost glad to get back to work...to have a rest
