Greater Roadrunner
A member of the cuckoo family and probably the most iconic bird of the U.S. southwest. Unfortunately, I have not heard any of them say "meep meep" yet. Their usual call seems to be a mournful "cooing" sound, almost like a dove.
Habitat
desert riparian
Location
St. George, Utah, USA
Date taken
March 22, 2020
Scientific name
Geococcyx californianus
Equipment used
Canon T6
A very well detailed and posed portrait, Biff. I'm disappointed they don't go meep meep!
