Green Heron (Butorides virescens)

I saw a number of these guys the other day, usually after they saw me and started to fly off. However, this guy was nice enough to land nearby and allow me the chance to get a few pics.

Habitat
Seen in a marshy area, normally found in swamps, along creeks and streams, and along the edges of lakes and ponds.
