Green Heron (Butorides virescens)

While my wife and I were walking the Huntington Beach Trail a lady introduced us to the Green Heron. Never seen this one before and it's a beautiful shy bird. One thing about birding is you are never alone. There is someone always eager to show you a bird or to discuss one.
