Green Pygmy Goose
Pretty much guaranteed in the Northern Territory coastal lagoons and inland billabongs. This small duck ranges from South New Guinea to Northern Australia. Not always easy to find close in though...

It does look quite small and it is quite a good lucking duck which you captured beautifully.

Not a species we see too much of in here really, so obviously a great find for you lad. Very well done and many thanks for showing him to us.
