Green rainbow
This is why I'm so sure that apparently blue-winged Green-winged was just a trick of the light. I have a whole series of shots of this fella preening. I've posted one before as well. In this one, his green speculum and the green swoosh across his eyes are shimmering in multiple shades of green and blue and even purplish.

Nice photo! I have never been able to take a good photo of them.
They are back at Nidarø, I have seen 2 today.

A gorgeous close-up image of this beautiful Teal Ann.

Three fabulous duck captures, Ann. The light certainly can play tricks with colours.

It was actually easier to get good photos of them when they were up at Nedre Leirfoss. You could just stand or sit behind a screen of trees and snap shots as they swam by close to shore in the one area they like there. At Nidarø we watchers/photographers are more exposed and the Teal have more places they feel comfortable going.
