Green shades of Grey Sat fun (Vanellus vanellus, Ardea cinerea)

Grey was being mobbed by Green for trying to muscle in on the regular roost......Green won eventually.

LOL Pepe... I've not heard the lapwings being call 'green' for a long, long time. Had me worried for a bit, thought there was something else in there that I couldn't see!!:-O

What fun that must have been watching this action going on... those lapwings can be pretty determined, can't they.

A super SF picture, thanks lad.

I doubt they were worried about him poaching their fish or frogs. More likely worried about him poaching chicks. Always entertaining to watch the small gang up on the giants ;)
