GREEN WOODPECKER

GREEN WOODPECKER (picus viridus)

well this morning i went straight after a nightshift to a little owl location that i came across by accident recently. they were ther as i pulled up but as i slowly reversed the car nearer to them they promptly flew off. so i put my rear window down and set up my bean bag and lens ready for a long wait. well did they show up? did they heck as like but i was treated to this green woodpecker that came reasonably close to my car. the photos are not brilliant by any means but as its my bogey bird i am semi-pleased until i get luckier one day.
