GREG's lunch

GREG's lunch (Ardea alba)

Today we (brother, sister-in-law, and myself) drove to Doran Park for a little picnic in honor of what would have been our Dad's 100th birthday. As we parked the car, we saw this Great Egret already enjoying his picnic lunch - a rather large, male vole. At least, I think it's a vole, and it's apparently a male ;)

Two smashing closeups of this Egret Ann and beautifully captured. I think I'll pass on the meal though ;)

Two super shot Ann. I hope this egret doesn't have indigestion after swallowing this meal.

Ah!! I see how you call him Greg LOL

A super picture you've got of this guy and I hope he enjoyed his lunch.

Such a lovely idea to meet up to celebrate your father's birthday. Strangely my father would have been 100 in October.
