Grey-Faced Buzzard (Eagle) (Butastur indicus)

I roused this bird up, driving by a field and he perched up in this tree with his backside toward me. I drove very slowly and made some squeeking noises trying to get him to look around. On cue he turned his head around and this shot is the result.
The cream colored supercilium, greyish cheeks and white throat with black mesial stripe are all visible and make the ID easy for this winter visitor to the island.

Great shot of this wonderful looking raptor. I've seen only some soaring way too high (in Niigata) to see those stunning yellow eyes. Great work!
