Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea)

I took 101 pictures of this heron as he patrolled the bog bean islands, but picked this one to show you as I like the setting.

A lot of the other shots show the whole bird... maybe I'll bore you with some more later on.;)

Excellent shot! I love this kind of "peekaboo" composition |=)|
As for the speckled teals ... I think males and females look very similar. Those two may be a pair ... or not. I don't really know.

This heron certainly seems to fit the enviroment well. Gorgeous picture with fabulous colors, lighting, detail, and focus. First-rate D!!!!!
