Grey Heron
This heron spent a few minutes in front of the bog bean island and I rather liked the wing action I captured.

However, I'm not so pleased with the settings I used, in that I blew the whites on his face. Exposure Bias was set at 0 (think it should have been a minus.. yes?)

Post processing has rescued it a bit, so thought it was worth posting.

This is image is so good in so many respects, Delia, I would have passed over that small detail if you hadn't mentioned it. Wonderful work, my friend.

Worth posting alright, a lovely display of feathers here, Delia!! tfs. You might try using the Picasa 3 or Photoshp CS photo editors for pp, I am generally happy with the results.

Girl, this is one mighty fine image of this Heron. Beautiful wing detail and spotlighting!

Great capture Delia, exposure looks good on the rest, sometimes the whites blow out in the sun, next time try going up -1 and see what you get. Tfs.
