Grey Heron
This heron spent a few minutes in front of the bog bean island and I rather liked the wing action I captured.

However, I'm not so pleased with the settings I used, in that I blew the whites on his face. Exposure Bias was set at 0 (think it should have been a minus.. yes?)

Post processing has rescued it a bit, so thought it was worth posting.

Well captured! And in this instance I don't know that -1 would have been better. You might have picked up some detail in the whites, but then you'd have lost some detail by darkening the wings, so you'd have had to do some advanced post-processing (lightening only the darkest areas) to get the sort of light balance our eyes and minds manage to put together, even in bright, high-contrast views like this. So all in all, I think you made a good choice. |=)|

Lovely capture Delia definitely on the minus side for anything with strong whites and strong light if you have the time to set it LOL.

Its a brilliant well timed and colourful capture of this big beaut Delia, well done.

It's a great action shot Delia, if you are using Raw you should be able to tame the whites a bit

This is super and I had a real chuckle. Back on Sports mode... I make a point of always looking these days. Anyway its a fabulous shot girl. Keep 'em coming!!
