Grey Squirrel

Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis)

This was at the back of my block, which doesn't get direct sun for long because of shadows cast by buildings. An hour before sunset, the perimeter wall was caught in a last shaft of light and this squirrel obliged.

I don't usually go out of my way to photograph squirrels (there often seem to be more of them than birds round here) but this one was irresistible.

1/1600th sec, f/5.6, ISO 500.

Thank you for your comments on my pictures, and good birding!

That is a beautiful picture of the squirrel. My squirrels are fed peanuts on a daily basis. They are cool little guys and love that peanut butter too.
