Guardians of the feeders (Mimus polyglottos)

Windy, cold, and bleak this morning. 1/30, F4.0, ISO 100, handheld, taken from my porch. Rare to capture this pair together. These are the male and female Mockingbirds who have been guarding the two trees near my porch, chasing all the other birds from the feeders hanging there. I recently hung feeders from two additional trees that are on the other side of my building, so we'll see if the other birds will be able to eat from them.

I do like this image Adele, it's such a pretty setting for these two lovely birds.

Very well done.

Hands of steel Adele! 1/30 sec is impressive for handheld. Its impressive on a tripod (lol). Awesome capture and picture of this pair of guardians!!!!!

Thanks, everyone. As for the 1/30, I was leaning against the porch rail as well as I could. This was the only one of several shots that didn't turn out blurry. Most of the time, the wind was blowing, creating more problems.

Wonderful catch of the two together, lovely picture. We have to have a few different locations with our feeders too. The Goldfinches like to take over here
