Hawaiian Black-necked Stilt (Himantopus mexicanus knudseni)

This is and endemic species on the island of Maui and is on the Federal List of Endangered Species. I was fortunate to get this shot on a quiet lagoon of the Kealia Pond Wildlife Area.
