What a great start you've made to your Gallery with these two moth pictures... this one, particularly, is so well camouflaged, isn't he.

Thanks for the welcome. The pattern on this moth certainly makes sense against the dead leaves. I'll try to post more pictures as they become available. The moth trap is currently undergoing minor repairs during inclement weather.

Thanks Stanley for comments on both pics. I shd probably point out that as noted in photo details most of my moths are taken in a light trap and released later. I try to do justice to them with suitable backgrounds but of course in many cases can't be sure that substrate or resting positions are 'natural'. The crypsis of the Hebrew Character makes so much sense against the dead leaves that I'm pretty sure it must spend daylight hours hiding among them: not so sure about the Muslin, although I did think it was an aesthetically pleasing composition.
