Hen Harrier

Hen Harrier (Circus cyaneus)

An interesting bird to watch. Five or six times it used it's talons to pick up balls of grass which were likely small mammal nests probably vole nests from the size. It hovered watching the balls and then let them fall to the ground still watching them before moving on a few metres and repeating the same. Eventually it dived down and presumably caught something and flew away.
