Herring Gull Landing on Humpback Whales Mouth (Larus argentatus & Megaptera novaeangliae)

Took this shot on whale watch out of Gloucester Mass. The whales were feeding by slapping their large tales to stun the prey fish and then they would surface to get mouthsfull. Whjen they would surface the gulls and other water birds would land on their jaws to reap the benifits. Don't know what the whales get out of this, I guess they just tollerate the gulls.
