Herring Gull coming to a bird table? Not something I recall seeing before! But it's an adaptable opportunist species, so perhaps not so surprising. Great close up Mali

PS Sorry to hear Little Terns aren't doing well at Rye Harbour. There used to be a breeding colony on the shingle at Church Norton/Pagham Harbour about 30 years ago (when my parents lived in the area and I often visited) and despite the area being taped off and notices put up, the birds were constantly disturbed by walkers and dogs off the lead. People meant no harm, it was just thoughtlessness.

A lovely clear capture of this thirsty gull, mali.

What a super shot. I live right in the country....dont get them in the garden but the LBB & GBB feed in big quantities in the surrounding ploughed fields. Great pic Mali and your Twitter feeds are excellent.

Brilliant close-up of this gull drinking some fresh water in what appears to be a bird bath for much smaller birds (lol). Top-marks Mali!
