Hiding my blushes!
There were two pairs of Goosanders the other two had gone backwards downstream (I wonder why they do that?).

I thought she was on her own until I saw her mate just after taking this picture. She was burying her face in the water but didn't appear to be feeding, so not quite sure what she was doing.

Good capture, they are not easy to approach in my spot... I guess she was scouting the area for food..
 
This is a nice sharp one Delia, you can see the camera is quite good within it's comfort zone, Gary.
 
I really like this DFelia, it's a super shot, really great detail.
 
Great behavioral capture and interesting to see that the search for food was more important than potential enemies.
