Himalayas - 300 ...
Treecreeper doing a Wallcreeper act ...
The performance of
the Tc on the wall
left us
quite excited ...
And ... like the
insatiable audience
we wished to have
an encore ... or probably
asked for more in the
spirit of Oliver Twist ...
... and an encore and
more we did have ...
Another Tc came ...
... scaled the wall
and got hold of a
moth hiding under
the cornice ... a little
smaller on this
occasion ... albeit ...
It left us with two
important behavioral
conclusions ...
* The Treecreepers took
to wall-creeping
with ease whenever the
opportunity and incentive
presented ...
* Those at the forest-edge
were well aware
of the hiding / resting
places of moths on
the walls during
day-time ... in nearby
buildings ..
A closer study may
reveal certain
interesting behavioral
aspects of birds
living close to the
forest-edge ...
Watch this individual
in this special act ...
in a video-clip ...
