The Forest-edge ...

It was late afternoon
... we were sitting
quietly in the lawns
of the heritage
property we were
staying in ... located
at the forest-edge ...
... after a rather
sumptuous lunch ...

... waiting patiently
for their arrival

Our attention was
momentarily diverted
to a lovely
butterfly called
Vagrant ... and it
was in those moments
a group 4 of these
fabulous Himalayans
crept on to the
boundary wall ...
... 2 males and 2
females ... most
stealthily ...

There are nine
subspecies of this
lovely Pheasant ... with
significant plumage
variations ...

Watch this dude in a
video-clip ...
