The Forest-edge ...

A lovely color
palette of Himalayas

... that has been
taken to various
parts of the world ...

Introduced to
countries ... far
and wide ...
... that
include Japan ...
Hawaii ... Australia
Spain ... France
and Britain ... and
Reunion Island ...

... and steady ...
increasing populations
survive at some of
these locations ...

Unfortunately ...
their
beauty ...
irrepressible charm
and ... lovely
song has made them
popular as a
cage bird ... exposing
them to perverse
human tastes ...

Watch a group of them
having fun at a
water-hole located at
the forest-edge ...

Aptly named and so beautifully captured Alok!

It sure is a gorgeous looking bird!

Putting a bird in a
cage kills the thing
one's trying to catch,
Alok. You'd think the
idiots would have realised
this by now. Catch them only
in great shots such as this;
let them fly free.
