We had started early
from Delhi ... that
morning ...
... with fond
hope of spending
the afternoon with
Himalayan beauties ...
... keeping in mind
the finicky weather
in the mountains ...

Driving 330 Km.
non stop ...
( nearly so ... )
through some of the
most densely populated
areas of north
India ... we did
manage to reach
this selected spot
at the forest edge
at 2.30 pm ...
and started birding
straightaway ... a
hugely rewarding three
hour session ...

He is quite the looker. Love the black mark over his eye!!! Sure wish we had those. That is one great looking warrior!!! Outstanding.
