Himalayas-754 : Red-billed Blue Magpie : a morning feeding party : Amazing Wildlife of India by Renu Tewari and Alok Tewari (Urocissa erythrorhyncha)

A morning feeding party of
Red-billed Blue Magpie ...

Gregarious ... inquisitive
very vocal ...
... intelligent
and beautiful ...

Foraging parties of
these fabulous
birds keep the
Himalayan slopes alive
with their calls ... as
can be heard here ...

They move through the
canopy ... sit at
the middle story ...
looking at the forest
floor ... before coming
down for a closer
scrutiny ...

being
omnivorous ... they
get food nearly everywhere
in the forest ...

They come to
human settlements
... for easy picks

We simply love
watching them ...
