Hispaniolan Parrot (Amazona ventralis)

This rare parrot arrived in the resort in small numbers just before 8 a.m. most mornings, had a loud squabble and squawk then departed for fruiting trees elsewhere on the coast. One morning two fought to the ground and recovered from the clash just in front of my camera!
