Hoary or Common Red Poll

I can't help you with the ID as I've only see one or two Common myself. This is a MARVELOUS collage Bill!!!! Wonderful work.

Based on the streaking on the flanks (finer and more diffuse; the common would have courser and heavier streaking) I'd ID this as Hoary. If the beak is blunt and the culmen straight it would be deffinintly Hoary. I'd be about 85% sure of Hoary. Good idea on the collage for ID purposes. :t:
