Hello again Semenov,

once more: tfs!

I looked at this picture a few times during the last days and still get a strange feeling: I am unsure, but it isnt a Hobby imo (which should be a rare bird in early march even in south France?)

It surely must be a Common/Lesser Kestrel by tail pattern?

Do you have more pictures of this bird, as for example head Pattern is difficult to judge due to bird is facing away and harsh light erasing fine pattern there (?)

If you post this bird in the ID section, hopefully Tom and the other raptor-ID experts can comment on your bird. Thanks! And again: thanks for sharing your excellent pictures!
