Hodgsons at Cess River, Liberia

Hodgsons at Cess River, Liberia

In January 2007, my wife, Paula, and I were in Liberia for a short visit. Here we are about to cross the Cess River (not far from where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean). A 7-mile trail on the other side would take us to the mission school where we lived and worked from 1980 to 1990. You can be sure I took my time birding along that trail, reliving many old memories! I was also able to digiscope the Black Bee-Eaters posted in my BF gallery.
Location
Cess River (at low tide), River Cess County, Liberia, West Africa
Date taken
03-Jan-2007
Equipment used
Fujifilm 5.1 MP Finepix A350 Camera
Goodmorning Gordon and Paula, wonderful to meet you both :t: , your heart must be torn between to places now I guess, I hope you can return now and then to see your friends and the birds of Africa :D

Nice to see you both, and glad you took a trip down memory lane, happy birding.
