Home By The Sea (Larus tridactyla)

This Kittiwake pair were nesting and breeding on a sheer cliff near to the seabird colony of Staple Island (Farne Isles).

I guess they were quite relaxed in the summer sun and perfect weather conditions.

The nest is made up of weed and the breeding season is May to June with 2 or 3 eggs and 1 brood.

A true mid ocean going gull.
