Hooded Oriole (male) (Icterus cucullatus)

As we rolled into Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, we noticed with delight a camper set up under the trees with numerous bird feeders hung from every available branch! Sure enough, the older couple camping there were bird lovers and were happy to tell us all we wanted to know about birding the trails in the preserve. While we chatted, I was able to set up my equipment and get this digiscoped shot.
