Hoopoe lark (Alaemon alaudipes)

usually they pose well, ut yesterday about 5 of them were just running around like crazy, then i found out why, a kestrel was flying low and trying desperately to catch one of them or the other crested and black sparrow Larks.

finally one stopped to take a breath, glad i was close to were i was. glad also i had the teleconvertor.

We saw these in Morocco but were disappointed not to get a good close-up. This is lovely, Doux. Happy New Year!
