Horace's Duskywing
Horaces Duskywing (Erynnis horatius: Hesperiidae) Wingspan 3.2-4.4 cm (1.25-1.75 in). Nectaring Smallflowered Milkvetch (Astragalus nuttallianus: Fabaceae).
Habitat
Gulf Coast Prairies and Marshes Vegetational Area. Coastal live oak woods with openings and sandy soil at 2 m (6.6 ft) elevation. March 2019

"Duskywing" seems very apt for this one!!

That's a superb picture you've taken of this butterfly Stanley - many thanks for showing it to us lad.
 
He certainly has dusky wings. A very well detailed close up, Stanley.

You have some of the best named insects and Butterflies/Moths and this is one of them. The names seem so personal ;)

A beautiful image of this Horace's Duskywing on that lovely Smallflowered Milkvetch guy!
