House - former Tree - Sparrow (Passer montanus)

This Tree Sparrow was kind enough to sit still for a couple of seconds. Really like these little fellows!

edit: Off course it's no tree Sparrow, just a common house Sparrow... :o:o
Location
Texel, The Netherlands
Date taken
24/06/2008
Scientific name
Passer montanus
Equipment used
Nikon D300 + Tamron 200-500
Maybe House Sparrow instead! A lovely detailed capture nonetheless.

LOL! A House Sparrow with an identity crisis. Ian's right though, Tree Sparrow would have a white cheek with a black patch.

Super shot though.

Ian, Jaff, youre both right off course |:$| Will look up the birds myself in the future and ask expert opinion when im unsure..:[email protected]

Thanks for the heads-up
