House Sparrow (passer dometicus)

Of course you all know this is a male. It was introduced to this country in 1850, and by 1910 it had spread from New York to California. It was the most common bird when I grew up in suburbia New Jersey, but I haven't seen one since we moved to the forest.

The most common present bird almost every where , and a lovely bird of course , every day I feed many of them , many people do the same here .

lovely closeup and nice eye catch here too Teto. I see more sparrows in the cities.

That's a super picture of this very proud-looking guy Tee.

I don't know if it's me, but it appears they might be subtly changing a little... this guy really looks very dark, doesn't he.
