Nearly always see
them ... during
birding through
the open country
around Delhi ...

Soft, diffuse, post-sunset
light has ... subdued
detail ... but has made
the bird
look more graceful ...

Still, the most attractive
part of the bird is
the way it hovers
mid-air ... to locate
the prey ...
... a truly captivating
display ...

And one can watch it
in a video-clip ... that
I was lucky to have
captured in 2013 ... but
was lying in the
archive unused ...
