How to bright a dull day (Fringilla coelebs)

This posing Chaffinch from Sherwood Forest made this Maid Marian very happy!!! :-O It was a very dark cloudy day, but I was thrilled to make the dream of visiting Sherwood Forest come true. Thanks a million to Mike (Sandpiper) for taking me there!!! o:)

Oh, and Jamiedude, as you told me you missed the sound and looks of these chappies while you were in China, here you have one! ;).

Brilliant,Marian,we used to live in Nottingham,lots and lots of woods in the county.do hope your nasty cold is going away,and you are feeling better.
 
This is lovely Marian, the colours are super - whatever the weather, and I love the pose.

Lol, Lady Marian. Be careful in the Sherwood forest. Some Robin or sheriff migh keep you in that forest for the rest of your life. :D Beautiful image. Still Chaffinches here too. :clap:
 
A lovely sparkly, bright Chaffinch. I really like the lime green of the woodland setting too. Great shot :t:
