Well this was my first Heron at 500mm hand held, i bought a sigma 170-500mm used off of ebay this week and today was my first try with it . Im actualy quite please with it so far . Cant wait to see what i can get with a tripod :) Also using a D80 body.

Really crisp. Looks like you made a good purchase. Even at 500mm, you did a good job of getting close to him.
