Hyacinth Macaw
Hyacinth Macaw (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus) I saw this species in a number of places but I had only two good opportunities to photograph them. This photo was taken along the Piquiri River at the Piquiri River Fishing Camp at ca. 122 m (400 ft) elevation. There were lots of Palm trees with nuts at both places that I had chances to photograph them. Open manicured grounds adjacent to riparian hardwoods with some wetlands. South of Puerto Jofre, Mato Grosso, Brazil.

I sure wouldn't mind having these guys in my backyard ;) Guess I'd have to move to Brazil though.
